Hi there!

I’m Susie

I am on a mission to help people establish a running life they love. Whether you are new to running or have been running for years, I am here to help!

My Story

Hi there!

YOU, human who wants to experience the joy of life through running the healthy way and #runforlife.

Welcome Home

I’m Susie.

Much like you, I am in the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle I hope to achieve through running. I am a wife, mom of three, Certified Integrative Nutrition Coach, and V0.2 Dot Certified running coach. Oh, and I also work at a major outdoor retail store where I get to outfit people with running shoes, clothes, and gear that’s perfect for them (this is the highlight of my week).

My mission here at Susie Klein Wellness is to show people how to combine a healthy lifestyle with running to create a life they love.

The moment I started running (at 41!), I became obsessed. I dove into learning everything I could, about training, supplements, recovery. During morning group runs, I was answering questions from my friends:

What’s good running form?

What should I eat before a run?

What stretches should I do after a run?

Warmup before?

I loved learning and running. I signed up for ALL the races, from a 5k to half marathon. Then the marathon bug crept in. Which is great! Except, I thought I knew what I was doing. I didn’t.

I didn’t find myself with a torn hip labrum during the Chicago Marathon because I tripped and fell (I walked the last 10 miles in agony). The fact is that I had overtrained in the months leading up to the race and didn’t mind my poor, agreeing body (or mind) with one little bit of a healthy habit to allow me to have a great race and an amazing time.

Over the years I have learned better. I finally made my desire to learn “official” by becoming a certified health coach and a running coach. Having blended the two together and seeing such a change in how I feel about life, led me to a desire to begin this blog. I began to show people how they too can find health and joy through #runningforlife.

My Mission

I want people to finally feel like running is not a chore, or something to do to just to get their “cardio” in. I want to show people how to see running as part of a bigger picture of health that has many components. Most which which can be easily incorporated. I want to show people that if health and love are there, the personal records will easily follow.

So, welcome to my blog. I will have much more for you to read soon.

There’s not a better feeling than when you have found that moment of balance and harmony when both running and life come together. Then you know why you run and that you couldn’t live without it
